EEG Video is a New York-based accessibility technology company that in 2021 became a part of Ai-Media, a publicly listed technology company with headquarters in Sydney, Australia. EEG's customer roster including nearly all of the largest broadcasting, cable, and OTT/streaming media players in the United States, plus corporate giants, universtities, and municipalities around the world. Our primary focus is video accessibility in the form of closed captions, benefiting the deaf and hard-of-hearing, language learners, and anyone who has ever watched a video on “mute.” Our pioneering role in IP-based live captioning systems was recognized when EEG received a Science & Technology Emmy® award in 2015. 
  
We have a talented and growing staff focusing on fast-paced solutions to customer-focused challenges such as new ultra-HD and IP-driven media formats, artificial intelligence and automation, and migration of video production technology to cloud-powered platforms and workflows. 

The Product Manager position will work on our video products and combines business, technology, and design to develop products that are valuable, usable, and feasible.

You are responsible for optimising workflows to deliver supply at scale through lowest cost operating models to ensure we remain competitive in the global market. You will support the design, development and execution of Ai-Media’s product designs globally and break down complex objectives into a series of logical steps, always seeking the most efficient and cost-effective method of delivery.  
 
You are a product expert shaping the future of our offerings, taking part in every facet of our products’ journey. Your knowledge of what to build will be guided by your sound understanding of how it will get built. This requires an ability to work closely with the Development team to understand the level of effort required for each feature. 
 
As the voice of the user, this role is passionate about our customer and obsessed with delivering a seamless user experience. This position will take part in developing the messaging and positioning of our products as well as creating consistency across communication channels. Your involvement will include naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritisation and external communication, shaping the voice and personality of our products as well as designing the most efficient systems upon these being delivered. 
 
This role also requires an ability to work with people in Sales, Marketing, Services, People, Technology and Finance to continue to seek new solutions and guide products from conception through to launch and distribution. You will maintain a keen awareness of global technology and accessibility trends to further expand the business.  
  
This role will prioritize interaction with products, development teams and stakeholders in the North America region / time zones, but Ai-Media also maintains substantial operations in Sydney and London, and some time zone flexibility to support interactions with global stakeholders and management around the world will be required.  

Key Responsibilites

  • Product Ownership in an Agile Product Management system - including stakeholder management, backlog prioritization, and user story control
  • Leadership and insight in both software development process and adjacent logistics of support, service, and roll-out to make the product an end to end success
  • Own a living roadmap in the product area and work with tech leads to break down "next up" tasks into a detailed development backlog
  • Review competitor product and pricing to effectively frame customer decision making process and identify areas for improvement
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products
  • Create wireframes to provide development team with a clear understanding of software vision
  • Document and maintain technical, logistical, and business decision making library 
  • Analyze sales and other usage data on products to guide decision making and prioritization
