Ai-Media is a global provider of technology-driven live and recorded captioning, transcription and translation services. Our mission is to make the world’s content accessible – for everyone. Ai-Media includes EEG Video, North America's leading closed captioning technology company.
The Product department is responsible for the vision and development of Ai-Media’s products to support internal and external client needs.
Our product vision fuses expertise in video technology and AI with a global, industry-leading, team of human language transcription and translation specialists to create a broad and customer-friendly service platform at scale to help the world’s largest media and live events organizations reach global audiences, provide equal access to all, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Our product team members bring a range of backgrounds to the table including software and electronics engineering, transcription and interpretation, media production, and operational management. We believe a strong blend of technical innovation, business acumen, and passion for our projects, customers, and users will be the keys to the team’s success.
The Ai-Media product development process seeks to build empowered, self-sufficient teams in each of our major business areas. Current openings focus on three key areas: (1) Software pipeline for automated and human tasks in recorded media transcription and localization; (2) Live transcription and translation delivery to live events and education users; (3) Transcription and translation archiving and indexing for content search and monetization.
A successful Product Manager in our system will work with a self-sufficient engineering development squad and lead the squad’s activities in an Agile Product Owner role, including user story creation, backlog prioritization, and sprint planning.
The Product Manager will be the face of their team’s work to the broader internal business and external customer community, including receiving product feedback and ideas, developing and promoting a vision and roadmap, and spearheading processes in go-to-market, training and documentation, and goal setting.
As the Product Manager, you will also be the primary individual contributor to product discovery in your focus area, taking interviews with users at various stages of engagement with Ai-Media's services, and with peers in Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance roles to seek new solutions and streamline the complete product journey. You will maintain a keen awareness of global technology and accessibility trends to contextualize and further expand Ai-Media's innovation.
The currently available roles will prioritize interaction with development teams in Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region / time zones, but some work hours flexibility to support interactions with global stakeholders and management around the world will be required.
Qualified candidates will have 2 years of experience in a Product Manager, Assistant Product Manager, or Product Owner role in a software technology business, preferably working with externally marketed B2B products or services. Entrepreneurial experience is always a plus and may be considered as an alternative to specific Product role experience in the right circumstances.
