Information Security Manager

Brooklyn, NY

This is a full-time employee role, formally reporting to our office in Brooklyn, NY. Fully remote applications will be considered, with preference will be given to those in the same or similar time zone and in US states such as New York where Ai-Media / EEG already has established employment policies.

Many of the activities undertaken in the role will be to support the company’s objective of securing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications over approximately the coming 18 months – successful accomplishment of this objective will secure significant business value and garner a high level of positive personal visibility in the organization.  

A candidate with interest in interacting with executive stakeholders and the company’s strategic technology landscape, and desire to advance into higher levels of opportunity within the technology organization would be an ideal fit for the role. 

As the Information Security Manager, your key objectives will be to: 

  1. Strategize and manage the development of information security policies and practices towards industry certification and recognition as an outstanding security partner to our customers 

  1. Advise and help deliver security, privacy, and data handling improvements for internally developed SAAS and other products provided to our customers 

  1. Advise and help deliver security, privacy, and data handling improvements for operational workflows and internal business practices 

  1. Assist Sales, Product, and Legal teams with customer interactions related to security audits, contractual negotiations, and certification issues 

  1. Assist with operational and vendor management issues related to incident response, auditing, compliance, and other security, privacy, and data protection issues 

  1. Ensure effective security monitoring of our information assets 

Job responsibilities will also include:

  • Evaluate the current information security practices and maturity levels
  • Develop a roadmap to achieve desired maturity levels with reasonable timeframe and budget
  • Lead efforts towards industry framework compliance and certification
  • Respond to customer audits and questionnaires
  • Review and understand customer requirements and proposed contractual terms
  • Spearhead training and internal communications around information security initiatives
  • Act as a trusted resource to Product, Software Engineering, and Technical Operations teams on best practices
  • Develop and improve policies and documentation
